Copy of WTF is LWN?

So WTF is LWN?

LWN, pronounced “lawn”, is simply my initials… it stands for me

Working in the commercial fashion industry for many years was inspiring, fulfilling, but also frustrating.

I created LWN to make clothes that I could count on to be useful and fun. I was bored of beige and tired of chasing micro trends. I wanted to wear uplifting colors in natural fabrics. This was the starting point.

LWN’s first drop focuses on womenswear and kids. Soon we will be rolling out our unisex designs in inclusive sizes suitable for men.

What if clothes were like Lego? LWN pieces are modular and simple in their silhouette. These are pieces to play with and build into your wardrobe, not chuck out after a trend dies. Wear us at home, use us as your work staples, definitely for chilling

The constraints from designing responsibly greatly form our process. Our small batch productions make each drop a little special and a little exclusive. Favorite shapes and silhouettes always return.  Freshness comes though new  fabrication and treatments.

when we can:

..we source from waste, especially deadstock, natural fiber quality fabrics or repurposed garments. This allows us not to overproduce and reduce pollution.

..we manufacture locally with a factory in Downtown LA. This small team is our extended family, we work with them daily. This allows us to easily turn out fresh items and small batches without being confined to industry minimums and hamster wheel over-production.

..we try to use as little plastic, polyester and other petroleum-based materials in our clothing.  Facings and details are from off-cuts, brand labels are printed on waste, our compostable packaging can even be buried in the garden.

..stay affordable. We strive to maintain these practices while doing our utmost to keep LWN reasonably priced. That said, we are a small business that pays fair wages and manufactures a quality product which is built to last, not go straight to landfill.

..Keep it responsible. There's so much green washing these days - we are committed to honesty and trying our best to navigate the learnings.

“when we can” is our commitment to our beliefs based on our latest  understanding, growth and capabilities.
